The open-plan living and dining room sits at the front of the apartment, where French windows frame the canal and let in plenty of light. There’s a dining table with four chairs and a bench — room for six when friends come over — plus a large sofa, armchair and coffee table. The kitchen is fitted with an induction hob, combination microwave/oven, dishwasher, Quooker tap, fridge and freezer, and the apartment has its own washing machine and drying rack. The bedroom has a king-size bed and, like the kitchen, opens onto the balcony at the rear of the property. For anyone commuting, Schiphol is about twenty minutes by train from Centraal, and the A10 ring road is a short drive away. It’s a neighbourhood people move to Amsterdam hoping to live in — and rarely want to leave.
